About Me
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Washington State, with a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Ceramics from The Evergreen State College and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science (Systems Counseling) from Bastyr University/LIOS. My background in both the creative and behavioral sciences deeply informs how I approach therapy—seeing healing as both an art and a science.
My therapeutic style is strength-based, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and deeply compassionate. I believe that healing begins in a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing and find what works best for you—honoring your values, identity, and lived experience.
I offer traditional talk therapy as well as evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness practices. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, loss, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you reconnect with your inner strengths and develop tools for lasting resilience and change.
My experience includes working with individuals who have survived abuse, neglect, sexual assault, community violence, vicarious trauma, and significant loss. I work with adult clients and offer in person sessions at my Kala Point home office or online through a secure HIPAA-compliant platform for residents of Washington State.
Beyond my work as a therapist, I’m a lifelong artist and creative spirit. I am a ceramic artist and a painter, I play the ukulele, Celtic harp and drums, and I garden, and love spending time with my two dogs and cat. I’m also an avid reader and a passionate traveler—drawn to stories, places, and people that broaden perspective and deepen connection. These personal practices nourish me and remind me of the many ways we can find meaning, joy, and restoration in our lives.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and my mission is to walk beside you with respect, presence, and care as you work toward the life you want. You already hold many of the tools you need for healing—sometimes it just takes the right support to help you uncover them.
Please note: As a solo practitioner, I’m not able to provide extensive after-hours or emergency care. If you are in need of ongoing crisis support, I encourage you to reach out to your local Community Mental Health services.
